Maple Syrup for All - Pure Grade-A (Gallon)

Nova Maple Syrup is a family-produced, all-natural maple syrup from Northwest Pennsylvania. Sustainably harvested from their own hardwood forests, the company prides itself on making the best possible syrup, confident that customers will enjoy eating it as much as they enjoy making it. This syrup can be used on sweets, meats, and breakfast treats.

The production process involves no chemical, organic herbicide, or pesticide use. The plastic jugs are 100% BPA-free and hot-packed/sealed for safety. There are no artificial flavors, preservatives, or dyes, and the syrup is gluten and dairy-free.

Nova Maple Syrup uses the new International Grading System that took effect in April 2015. All of the syrup sold is Grade-A, with variations in sub-grades based on weather, trees, and individual seasons. The company ships Grade-A Golden Delicate Taste, Amber Rich, Dark Robust, and Very Dark Strong, but does not ship the new Grade-B Commercial (formerly Grade-C) syrup. Darker syrups have a stronger maple flavor than lighter ones, but both are equally sweet, comprising 67% natural sugar and 33% water.

In addition to pure maple syrup, the company offers maple sugar, maple cream, and maple candy. The maple sugar is a great replacement for white sugar, providing an unprocessed sweetener with a subtle maple flavor. The maple cream is a rich spread with a consistency similar to natural peanut butter, while the maple candy is a top-seller during the holidays.

The business began as a hobby in 2013, with the owners tapping 50 trees on 1.5 acres and producing 17 gallons of maple syrup. Since then, it has grown into a family-owned operation with 22,500 taps across 275 acres. The company uses sustainable practices, including solar-powered equipment and energy-saving reverse osmosis/steam recapture systems, to minimize resource use.

The story behind Nova Maple Syrup began with the purchase of a 100-acre property in Hartstown, Pennsylvania, in 2015. The inaugural commercial syrup season was in late January 2016, and the business has continued to expand since then. The company is owned and operated by Jake and Hailee Leveto, who started the venture as a hobby and have since had two sons. The business is named after their dog, Nova, a golden retriever/German shepherd mix.
